Hey everybody, just a quick post. its actually my first post but its better late than never so, an update of my progress through participating in the Ludum Dare competition.
i managed spruce a little something up yesterday but i have just finished the level for this tiny game that i have called PEA PEA. very simple little thing rolling around and jumping about trying to avoid traps. thats the objective of the game. whooo!
Like I promised, here is my quarter the way in update (if a little late) ! Below is a video for you to check out.
Paradox is a 2D top-down adventure game about a time travelling scientist called Protak who gets stranded in the future, I can’t say much else about the story yet as this game hangs so much on narrative. The game will consist of 10 levels, and I am designing it with the notion of interpreting the theme ‘Minimalism’ through narrative rather than visual cues (to an extent).
Now that I am into the second quarter of development, my main focus is to fill out the game and make sure that it is playable from start to finish, this means making sure every level and cinematic (in-game cut-scene) I have planned exists and functionally works. If all goes according to plan, I should be uploading a video of a run-through of the game to show that being ready in about 9 hours time.
Anyway back to work
